From Denver and points north of Colorado Springs take I-25 south to exit 140 in Colorado Springs. Go to the 2nd stoplight and turn right (head
south). Go for approximately 40 miles to Highway 50 west. Head west on Highway 50 through Cañon City. You will soon be heading up 8 Mile Hill.
Once you reach the top and start to level out, you will continue on about 1 mile down the road and turn left on the road to the Royal Gorge. (As a
note if you start heading downhill, you have gone too far.) Once you turn on the road to the Royal Gorge, the railway is about 1 mile down on the
right hand side.
From Pueblo and points south. Take I-25 to Exit 101/Highway 50 (which is in north Pueblo). Take Highway 50 west for about 40 miles and follow the directions above from Cañon City.
